Capps Family

I am writing this letter about an F3 brother, and neighbor that some of us know.  His name is Aaron “Blindside” Capps.  I have had the pleasure of him being one of my accountability partners for both health and fitness for a few years now.  We usually work out three times a week together.  We started with a group of 7 guys that would get up and exercise together.  What started out as just exercising developed into great friendships.  The workouts take place at Aaron’s garage.  We call it Capps’ Gym.  He and his wife, Rachel, have opened their garage to friends and neighbors nearly every morning for years.  Praying for each other, doing devotions together, helping others to grow spiritually and physically is part of their everyday life.  It truly takes selfless people to sacrifice their home for the betterment of others, especially at 5am in the morning every day of the week.  This is a great family that shares kindness and love with everyone they know, which is why I am reaching out to all of you.

Most of you are aware of the struggles they have been going through with their oldest daughter Maggie.  She is 11 years old.  Two years ago, she suddenly started experiencing seizures.  She has 2 different types of seizures:  full-blown seizures, and what they call a “Fizzy”.  She has them frequently.  They have continually searched for answers through any means possible.  Throughout this entire process, Maggie has been extremely strong and brave, as much as an 11 year old can be.  Aaron and Rachel feel that there are more options for their daughter.  They are frustrated with Maggie’s response to her current treatments.  God has opened another door for this amazing family.  A friend told them of a specialist in Memphis that may be able to help.  They have been in contact with the office and are excited about the future possibilities this may hold.  It will require travel to Memphis on March 11th, and a one week stay to start this new journey.

I know that the family will need a few things.  First, Prayer!!  Let us all say prayers for the Capp’s Family:  for safe travels,  for the family members that will be staying behind,  for the family, friends, and neighbors that will be watching their kids, house and dogs, for the medical team that they will be seeing, for God’s mercy, wisdom, guidance, and strength for everyone involved with this entire process,  for God to fill this family with HIS Holy Spirit so that they can not only make it through this, but also see HIS hand throughout it.

Second!!  Money!!  They will need meals for the family staying here while Aaron, Rachel and Maggie are in Memphis.   They will have incidentals costs  for at least a week, meals, gas, etc. while in Memphis.  They would never ask for it, but I feel like we could lift a burden off them so they will have one less thing to worry about.  Let’s help a family, friend, and brother out.  This could mean everything from providing a meal, gift cards, hotel, gas, or possible airline tickets.  The possibility is endless if we all help.
