Paige's Medical Fund

Life likes to challenge us, sometimes we are thrown a curve we couldn't have anticipated. One day you're at your college graduation dreaming of that next step and then the following week you're listening to the doctor tell you the news you thought only happened to other people. Hearing the words "you have cancer" is not something most 23 years olds expect to hear, especially when they are so busy in life just trying to make it. In a heartbeat your world changes and your plans come to a screeching halt. Your dreams of that next step fade away and the fear of the unknown falls into its place. For most people, a diagnosis like this would break them, but most people aren't Paige Hurst. Paige was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. For over a year now Paige has been battling symptoms of this disease while her doctors told her that they weren't real, that it was all in her head and that it was her anxiety that was affecting her body, still she persevered. Paige is not one to ask for help, and you wont see her taking a day off because she isn't feeling well. But we all need a little help sometimes and there isn't anyone who deserves it more than Paige. Treatments and doctors appointments will not only cost her and her family time and pain, but they are now faced with a financial burden they could not have anticipated. Paige's closest friends are reaching out on her behalf to ask for help. A donation, an encouraging message or even a memory will go a long way. Often times people forget how special it is to grow up in a small community, where everyone knows your name. But in times like this it is important to remember your roots and help a friend as she faces her biggest struggle yet. As her best friends we can't put into words how brave she has been or how much we love her. She's still breathing, with her head above the rain and roses making her way away to recovery.
