Youth Support Worker for Cafe Y

Cafe Y is a social enterprise, training and employing at risk young people in Menai, Sydney.
The Cafe trains and employs unemployed young people who have left school and are not making a successful transition into training or the workplace.
Young people have complex barriers such as mental health concerns, disabilities, family breakdown, alcohol and drug use, low education attainment. The young people going through the Cafe program are some of the most disengaged young people in our local area, who without the Cafe would remain or become long term unemployed.
Young people receive a certificate 2 or 3 in hospitality, real life work experience, in Cafe Y, and support to transition into further education or training.
Our most recent stat tells us 63% of young people are engaged in education, training or employment 3 months after completing the Cafe Y course.
We are raising money to employ a part time youth worker to provide holistic support for young people to address their barriers. The young people are doing a great job with their training however with additional support they could be even better. Thanks so much for all your support and your kind donations.
