Honor Roll Athletics is a youth lead, youth driven clothing line which is an extension of Brothers EMpowered Minneapolis Youth Business management training program. The purpose of Honor Roll Athletics is to teach youth how to run and manage a business, create job opportunities and fund Youth EMpowerment initiatives.
Brothers EMpowered business management training program is a program under our extension Jr. Brothers EMpowered. Our youth business management training program teaches youth how to run, manage and grow a business. We've started a youth athletic clothing line called Honor Roll Athletics, the slogan is: great in the game better at the books. At Honor Roll Athletics our goal is to promote student-athlete by putting academic first. This clothing line will be ran by a board of 9 to 13 Jr. brothers EMpowered members. The goal is to teach them how to run and manage a business giving them the skill needed to become a successful Entrepreneur. The goal is to also create employment opportunity for the youth within this program, with 15% of the proceeds going back to the community by helping to fund youth EMpowerment initiative. This program will help build economic leaders for tomorrow, job creators and it will give youth confidence and deter them from straying into a lifestyle of crime. Given the fact that many youth are into sports it also helps promote academics allowing youth to be able to hold each other accountable when it comes to their academic success. Therefore Honor Roll Athletics would be more of a movement then just a youth athletic clothing line. The board of directors will be overseen by two the mentors and business owners within our organization. We will be bringing in successful business owners in the community to help the youth with specific business skills like: management, marketing, finance, product control, budgeting, public relations just to name a few. Our target market are, scholars from K through the collegiate level that has played sports or enjoy watching sports. The Honor Roll Athletic brand will also appeal to adults and graduates who used to play organized sport or love watching sports. The idea of this movement is to bring the value back in academics first, athleticism second. We have two slogans/mantras: GREAT AT THE GAME, BETTER AT THE BOOKS & LOOK GOOD, FEEL GOOD, DO BETTER. We're asking for you to help us raise funds for a Mac book pro, digital camera and a heat press machine.
