Your local Equestrian Club needs you!
Wyvenhoe Equestrian Club was established in 1972. For almost 50 years the club has been dedicated to its customers and ponies alike. Striving to provide great service to clients and quality of life to its inhabitants. Over the years the club has seen many changes and naturally seen clients & horses come and go. But 2020 is proving to be its most challenging year to date. Earlier this year the club closed its doors as the first national lockdown took place. These were uncertain times but through determination the Wyvenhoe team managed to maintain the site and quality of life of its ponies whilst under immense financial pressure, we were all fairly confident that the population had beaten Covid 19. However with the new lockdown measures in place as of November 2nd, Wyvenhoe Equestrian club unfortunately finds itself having to close its doors once again.
The first lockdown took place at a time of year when the weather was pretty fantastic, which meant that the pasture at the site was at its best. Now that winter is here the ponies more than ever will be relying upon other forms of feed and of course spending more time in their stables.
So we find ourselves in a difficult situation, where our costs will naturally outweigh the clubs income, and for us the welfare of our horses is the most important thing. For this reason we are hoping to raise funds which will go towards horse feed, bedding and medicine.
We appreciate this is a difficult time for everyone, but if you are able to make any donation, we would all be incredibly grateful.
