This is her oldest brother making this account regarding my little sister, Alyssa Sanchez, who was shot in the head on the very early hours of Monday morning after a case of road rage led to a shooting with strangers in the area of Southwest 14 st and 27th avenue, leaving her in a medically induced coma.
Her boyfriend, who was driving the vehicle they were in, stated there was an argument with people in another car and that bullets started flying moments later.
Alyssa was the only one shot and the culprit is still at large. When I walked into the room where my sister was hospitalized, she was on life support. It was the absolute scariest thing I've ever witnessed. My little sister, in that condition. She is such a great person, always the life of the party, fun and so lovable. She really didn't deserve this to happen to her.
She is the mother of two young boys both under the age of 2. The father of the kids was shot and killed last year, and now my sister has fallen victim to gun violence as well!
I can't fathom anything more severe happening to my sister. Our family is praying for a miracle and still demanding justice. So that is the reason for this page.
I hope the public can help out in absolutely any way possible, as this can be a huge financial burden to anybody. The money raised for my sister is going to go to ANY necessary hospital medical bills & my main concern, for anything she might ever possibly need after she awakes from this. Any physical therapy, anything for her 2 beautiful boys, a stable place for her to live where she can recover in peace and tranquility.
I am beyond grateful for every one of you, I thank you so very much for keeping my sister in your prayers, we would appreciate any kind of help & again thank you for all of your support!
