Youngblood Family Fire

In the early hours of August 30th, 2019, the #gunrangefire broke out in the foothills of Bountiful, Utah. The Youngblood family was asleep at home when the father heard sirens and saw the fire above the Firebreak Road from his bedroom window. He woke up his wife and told her about the fire and they grabbed their six year old daughter. Before the family could even finish dressing, the fire was at the rear of the home, and they escaped in their car as the flames engulfed their house. 

Their home is a complete loss. While they are grateful that no one was harmed, they have lost their home and all their physical possessions. They are going through the trauma of that loss while trying to salvage what they can from the ashes, but are grateful that the fire managed to skip over their chicken coop in their backyard. Yes, their "Super Chickens" made it through, as well as their daughter's fish inside the home! 

The Youngbloods have made Bountiful their home for the last several years, but have no family in the state. They bring so much to our community and local public school, and many of you have reached out asking how you can help them. We know we as a community can make a difference in their lives and show our love and support.
