Young Musicians for Social Justice Fund
Donation protected
Young Musicians for Social Justice is a new society founded by students at the University of Leeds which aims to mobilise young musicians for social justice. We are raising money to put on a 'Roundtable' event which will enable musicians of all ages, backgrounds, and professional level to contribute to a discussion on the question: "What is the role of music in bringing about social justice?". We aim to recruit and gain support from individuals and organisations who are already doing excellent work in this area, and who will help us to advocate for the role of music in bringing about social justice. In addition to this event, we hope to establish a funding pot which young musicians will be able to apply for in order to establish their own bespoke, grass-roots projects. We will continue to forge new ways to empower young musicians through community, resources, networks and training.
