It is with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to a loving wife and mother of two on August 29, 2018.
Rajaa was a remarkable woman who always gave endlessly to those around her. Her want to help and care for others was the very essence of the Rajaa we knew. Rajaa had a contagious smile that brightened up the room. Rajaa suffered from lupus for about 10 years, but that did not stop her from sharing her life with others. When raja fell ill, we were all devastated. But suffering and battles she faced did not stop her from giving and smiling.
On August 13, 2018 around 5:00 am, Rajaa suffered multiple strokes, seizures, and a brain aneurysm. Rajaa’s husband Ameer immediately called 911. The doctors were able to stabilize her but she remained in the hospital.
On August 28, 2018, Rajaa suffered from another stroke. The medical staff performed CPR but due to the severity of the stroke, Rajaa was connected to life support.
After performing multiple tests, the hospital pronounced her brain dead. They gave the family 24 hours to say their goodbyes and pull the plug. Her family was devastated that they had no other options but to say goodbye to their beloved mother, wife, daughter and friend. Rajaa passed away on August 29, 2018. She leaves behind a son, Stavro, a daughter, Selena, and a loving husband.
Due to Rajaa’s illness she has been unable to work and has been a full time stay at home mom. This has created a huge financial burden and something I am certain we can all do something to help with. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
