Young House fire family

As you may have seen on Devon live about a house fire in Paignton early hours of this morning 25-03-2020. This just happened to be my best mate house and his young family. It was a worrying and distressing time for them all as you can imagine, especially with everything that is going on currently. As you can see from the pictures there isn't much salvageable from this if anything at all due to smoke/heat damage. It was there little girls 5th birthday 10 days ago and all of the gifts she had got...... Gone!

When you revive a phone call at half 6 in the morning from your best friend, you usually expect some exciting news or something to really brighten your day however, this morning was very different. I answered the phone only to hear a very upset, worried voice on the end of the phone telling me that thier house caught on fire about 5am this morning. In my haste (despite the stay at home situation) I jumped in my car and headed round to see if there was anything I could do, lend a hand, offer support, just be there for them.

Luckily they all survived, they did however loose along with alot of their possessions, a very beloved cat called tygan.

They are currently in tempory accommodation until they are able to move back into a full time home, no one knows how long this will take, but im hoping for them, its very soon. I know this hard times for everyone, but if we could just pull together to raise a small amount to help towards getting there essentials back when they move, especially clothes for the 3 children, kitchen and living essentials, i can see this situation being alot easier for them to get through and it will be more than appropriated, not only by myself, but by the family involved.

I'm not asking people to empty there banks, especially when people are being told to not go to work I understand this is hard, but even if it's as little as £1, it will go along way for this family who is in desperate need right now.
