You'll Be Alright!

Tracey Marvin is a daughter, mother, partner, nanna, auntie, loyal friend, and, with five sisters and a brother, is one of seven siblings.

She was born in England, married in Scotland, and retired in the south of Spain.
Tracey lives off the land with her life partner Billy in their home in the mountains and she has been one with nature for as long as she can remember.

In April of this year Tracey developed agonizing pain in her hip.  After presenting herself at the A&E department of her local hospital, she was told she was suffering due to a fracture that was apparently healing well, the x-rays they took confirmed this.
Tracey was given strong painkillers and advised to rest up, but the pain did not ease; it only increased!

Over the past four months, Tracey attended the doctor multiple times, only to be told the same thing on each visit - rest up. Four weeks ago, the pain started to become unbearable, and she had no choice but to phone an ambulance to take her to the hospital.

Whilst being in hospital, Tracey had a CT scan which revealed that she had Stage 4 Lung Cancer, which had spread to her spine and pelvis; hence the hip pain.

Two weeks in Tracey underwent another x-ray, this time to be told that she had a double broken pelvis. Every scan and x-ray was excruciatingly painful as lying on her back was the worst position for Tracey to be in.
In the breaks in the pelvis and femur, there are large tumors on each side that have embedded themselves in the breaks. For months now Tracey has endured endless, excruciating pain with no relief.
The doctors and nurses in Santa Ana Hospital Motril have been working with Tracey and her family to manage this pain; there are hours of relief, but it always returns with a bang!

The doctors have tried persistently to manage Traceys pain level to the point they had to give her a spinal epidural, which means she is constantly numb from the stomach down and is topped up with morphine injections when needed.
She is now on a pain management plan which was set up to allow her to be an outpatient, which means she has to stay close by to the hospital in order to get her treatment. We are hoping she can get out to be cared for by the family very soon.

Tracey has three children, who are all grown-up: Lisa lives in Ireland, Clara nearby in Spain, and Daniel lives in Scotland. They have all been by her side, along with Tracey's partner Billy, since going into the hospital four weeks ago.
As they all have families of their own, they are finding it difficult to be able to stay indefinitely to support their mum. With the expense of flights, rent, accommodation, etc. and being off work on top of that, they have run low on money and are now unable to fund staying with their mum at this time.

That is why we are turning to GoFundMe for any support they can offer. We are hoping to raise funds for Tracey and Billy's accommodation while she stays nearby the hospital for her treatment, as well as to help her family to be there during this time.

Tracey has opted out of Chemo in favor of the holistic health approach which includes a specific diet and therapies. The trea
tment she is receiving in the hospital is mainly to manage her pain level and allow her some minuscule amount of relief.

"You'll be alright" has been Tracey's motto for a long time, and in this case, it has been her strength and her weakness. We've decided to call our campaign this, in honor of Tracey's character and resilience.

Help us, help Tracey to be alright too.
