Yoshi's Bite Against Periodontal Disease

Yoshi was rescued off the streets in April of 2017. When he was found, he was very malnourished and could barely open his mouth. Ever since his adoption into the pack, he has gotten healthy and loves to eat. Yoshi has been the greatest joy to my family. A spunky little guy with a big heart, loves to be loved, and be fed.
Unfortunately, recently I've noticed that he hasn't been eating his dry dog food as much. He's been eyeing for more soft food from his humans more than usual. Crying more often. Then we found his tooth and got him checked. He has stage 3 periodontal disease where there is bone decay to his upper jaw and if not treated...it won't be good. The bacteria can spread to his heart, liver and rest of his body.
His dental procedures will cost us at least $1000 and that doesn't include medicine and further exams until he is out in the clear.
I'm able to cover his basic vet exams at Planned Pethood Plus, however I've been told this isn't an easy fix and may take a bit. Yoshi needs a little help from you.
If I could turn back time, I wish I was more assertive in his dental care and not let his stubbornness dictate my push-overness.
I've learned my lesson and will make sure the rest of his fur-brothers does not have the same fate.
