Today a tornado ripped through our yard and hearts. While our historic station and grounds suffered extensive destruction, nothing compares to our neighbours who lost their homes.
The York-Durham Heritage Railway Association is a nonprofit organization and a registered charity with the Government of Canada. We are operated by a team of dedicated volunteers and passionate staff.
Our mandate is to preserve and promote the heritage of Canadian railways of South-Central Ontario while providing historical experiences for our community and family. We have survived COVID-19, barely hanging on and finally started having sold-out events. The damage and destruction have caused us to yet again close our yard therefore needing to suspend our Scheduled events for at least the next three months. We need your help!
We are raising money to benefit YORK-DURHAM HERITAGE RAILWAY ASSOCIATION, any donation amount will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause; that means so much to so many visitors and our community.
With your support, we will continue to provide beautiful memories to the community and families across Ontario.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
While York-Durham Heritage Railway Association leases the Train Station from the Township of Uxbridge, we are not the owners of the facility.
Any and all of our fundraising efforts including but not limited to the recent Go Fund Me disaster efforts don't contribute to any of the Township of Uxbridge assets or restoration of our beloved Train Station.
The York-Durham Heritage Railway Association fundraising efforts goes towards rebuilding the extensive damage to the York-Durham Heritage Raiway Association trains, property, equipment, contents and museum artifacts/pieces.
