Our sister, Yolande Allen, is in need of our support.
Several years ago, you all gave towards this cause and your being asked to help her again. As a reminder, Yolande was diagnosed with White Matter Disease. White Matter Disease is the wearing away of tissue in the largest and deepest part of your brain due to aging. This tissue contains millions of nerve fibers, or axons, that connect other parts of the brain and spinal cord and signal your nerves to talk to one another. A fatty material called myelin protects the fibers and gives white matter its color.
This type of brain tissue helps you think fast, walk straight, and keeps you from falling. When it becomes diseased, the myelin breaks down. The signals that help you do these things can’t get through. Your body stops working like it should, much like a kink in a garden hose makes the water that comes out go awry. Yolande also suffers from fibromyalgia and IBS...leaving her in pain more often than not. Yet, without complaint she continues to go on.
Yolande is still losing her hearing and is in need of two new hearing aids. The total cost is $3500.00. However, I'm looking for a miracle of $4000.00 to cover her hearing aids and other associated expenses.
We're seeking help for her. She deserves it and she needs your assistance. For the last 6 years, I've watched as Yolande has taken care of her daughter, my daughter, your sons and daughters, and many others. She feeds, clothes, and loves all children as if they are her own. Her heart for others is unmatched and her devotion to God is unwavering. I'm trusting and believing God for a miracle on her behalf. She's an AMAZING person and is loved dearly. While the goal is one thing... I'm believing God for much more.
