Yogis Unidos a Latinx Based Yoga Community
Yogis Unidos is a NY/NJ Latinx Yoga Community connecting Latinx Professionals dedicated to wellness.
Established on September 29th 2019, Stephanie Acosta enlisted Jessica Arevalo, Yvonne Hernndez, and Erika Maria Milachouski on a journey to make a path for Latinx in Wellness. Since our inception we’ve hosted our Annual Pa’Lante Brunch, been featured on the Vegan & the Beast Podcast, Collaborated w/ She Se Puede (Founded by Eva Longoria & America Ferrera) and have had honor mentions in publications like Parents Latina and My Yoga My City.
Our mission is to build a Global Latinx Yoga
Based community to provide wellness resources to connect, inspire, and empower.
Our Goal is to create opportunities for Latinx to teach, mentor, network, and benefit from scholarships within the wellness arena.
Connect, Inspire, and Empower
One way we’ve started to Connect & Inspire our community is by offering Free Instagram Live opportunities on the Yogis Unidos IG. instagram.com/yogisunidos This is our way of making wellness accessible, even during this time of uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic, to everyone who may need ¡Buena Vibras!
Yogis Unidos prides itself as being a reputable source for recommendations and helps drive positive speech amongst our community. We get requests often from institutions looking to fill available wellness roles with diverse backgrounds & talents.
Our hope is to begin cultivating both a personal and professional relationship within our community to be a source supporting our members into healthy careers.
Your contribution would go towards:
-Our Website (Designer,Host, Domain)
- Legalization...+ Fees to help draft contracts
for us partners.
- Establish Network (online database of Latinos in wellness), set up online Yoga studio + equipment.
-Buying of Merchandise to put our logo so that we can sell and earn money for Y.U.
- Administrative...operational costs ie:
Transportation...Liability Insurance.
- Yogis Unidos sustainability so that we can continue to do this work.
