Yocum Family Surviving Cancer Fund
Donation protected
I have been close freinds with Celeste for nearly 20 years. We have always shared a heart for the spread of the gospel through church planting on the foreign mission field, as well as other areas of living our lives for Jesus. Her husband, Mark, planted Calvary Chapel Prishtina over 15 years ago and they serve the community there in many capacities. Early 2014, she was very suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, which was fought agressively with chemo and though she is officially in remission now, immunotherapy continues in the hope that the 50% chance of this type of cancer returning can decrease and Celeste can continue to live out her life for Jesus with her husband and daughter. Unfortunately, the cost of these ongoing treatments are high ($5-6,000 each), and though insurance reimburses them for these, the trips to the hosptial (a 4 hr. drive from Kosovo to Greece) are not covered (gas, hotel, auto insurance, etc totals nearly $300 per treatment). In addition to these costs Celeste is following a strict (and expensive) dietary regime to further her survival rate. Since the onset, several supporters have dropped from their monthly missions funding. The Yocum's continue to trust the Lord with all their circumstances, live faithfully and as good stewards, and serve Christ unwaveringly. Quite simply, God has put it on my heart to do any and everything possible to help them out. Any amount donated will go directly to Celeste's cancer survival.
