Rob's Fight Against Lymphoma
Donation protected
I am creating this campaign for my Uncle Rob. He is an amazing man. Those that know him love him. A devoted father, pop-pop, brother, uncle and friend. He is the one always cracking jokes and making people laugh. He has a sense of humor and zest for life that is unmatched.
Sadly, as many of you know, Rob was diagnosed in 2017 with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL). He received treatment which included several rounds of aggressive chemotherapy. His prognosis was good, but the effects of the chemotherapy left him with serious complications including masses in his mouth and throat. The complications made it nearly impossible for Rob to eat or swallow and have resulted in significant weight loss and a deteriorating condition. We are hopeful that further testing will help yield answers and determine further treatment options to eradicate the complications, build his strength and improve his standard of living, but much is unknown at this point.
As a result of his health issues, Rob has been unable to continue working. He remains under the care of his wife and sons at home along with visiting nurses to administer medication and nutrition. The combination of lost income and mounting medical bills has been extremely difficult and stressful for Rob and his family. His wife, Donna, has also suffered lost wages due to needing time off to care for Rob. Rob remains positive and is a fighter, but he and his family need all our love and support during this difficult time.
Our wish for Rob and his family is that they be able to focus solely on his care and helping him regain his strength and not be weighed down by the added burden of financial stress. For this reason, we are asking friends and family to consider making a donation. No amount is too small. A small gesture can make a huge difference to Rob and his family! Please also keep the thoughts and prayers coming! Feel free to share this with others via Facebook or email and help spread the word. Let’s show our support and love for Rob and his family. Thank you all!
