Please help DJ Skippy and Linda make memories.

This is for our wonderful friends Skippy and Linda. Linda has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, devastating news for them both.

As we know, Skippy works as a dj which means he is self employed and does not receive sick pay. 

 He is a great friend to many and always there for his friends when they need him and it is with this in mind that has inspired me to set up this go fund me page.

There have been times, and there will be more when Skippy can't work because he will need to be with Linda.

Please support our dear friend to have precious times and memories with the love of his life Linda without having to worry about finance.

Those of you who know Skippy, will know how much he has put into the community over the years with numerous charity events he has organised over the years and how many happy memories he has given to people from hosting their special events, christenings, 18ths, 21sts, weddings to funerals.

Skippy really is an icon in the community so please let's show our support for this beautiful family. The main reason for this go fund is to raise funds for Linda to have an holiday abroad, this would be a dream come true for her as she has never been abroad. Travelling won't be easy and flying is not possible due to Linda's health and the insurance, though this wish could be made possible by ferry and your HELP donating!!

I have known Skippy for many years and he is one of the most generous and caring I have had the pleasure of knowing. Lock down was difficult for many people but was more difficult for Skippy as he is a DJ and self employed he received no help from government and I remember seeing him visably upset as his saving were dwindling, which meant he had to ask to loan money from family which was particularly hard for him to do as he has worked all life.

Once all the restrictions were lifted Skippy got back on track with work and finances, things were looking up for him and a new grandchild was welcomed into the family, it was great to see my friend happy again. Then Linda and Skippy were hit with the devastating news Linda had terminal cancer. It is heartbreaking for me to watch Skippys life falling apart around him. Linda has spent countless time in hospital and urgent care, which makes it difficult for Skippy to juggle family and work, so he has now resorted to paying other DJs to cover his work. So this has put another financial strain on the family at a time that is already difficult with the extra expense of caring for Linda travelling to and from hospitals etc.

Linda's next birthday is the big 50 so please let's all help Linda and Skippy make some happy memories. We will be doing some charity events throughout the year it would be greatly appreciated if you all show your support..
