Sophia's Medical Fund

Within days after landing in Berlin to attend College, Sophia ended up in the Hospital extremely sick. She was first diagnosed with Pneumonia and a Pleura infection and was put on antibiotics, only to realize that she was only getting worse with time. She got rushed back to the ER shortly after getting released and is now in a lung treatment center. Sophia is undergoing many tests and treatments and is expected another 10 days before a release consideration. With the sudden sickness just days after moving to Berlin it was impossible to receive health insurance so soon and unfortunelty Sophia's previous health insurance won't cover these Hospital bills overseas. With the testing, scans, ambulance rides, hospital stays and other miscellaneous costs, Sophia and her family are looking at a hefty $20,000 in medical expenses or more. With the help of friends and family, anything that you could donate will help start Sophia's College experience with a bright and healthy future and relieve the Santucci family of financial stress.
