My name is Hermogena (Hermie) C Medina. I work as a screening officer at the Vancouver Airport. My niece, Concepcion (Connie) Protacio, needs a financial help for his son (my grandson), Ygerg Stern M. Protacio (Yggy), got involved in an accident while riding his bike in Tagaytay City, Philippines last March 2, 2017. Yggy, lost control of his bike while passing through a steep downhill area. He flipped over several times and landed in a cliff.
He suffered multiple injuries including fractures in his pelvic bone and knee. He also suffered internal bleeding because the accident acutely damaged his kidney, liver, intestines, and lungs. He is now confined at the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Hospital, Manila, Philippines.
Since the accident, Yggy has undergone several procedures including abdominal operation to address the laceration and internal bleeding. He is also undergoing dialysis every other day.
This unfortunate incident has taken its toll on our family’s finances. Our hospital bill is now more than one million pesos and continues to grow. In this regard, I would like to request your kind financial assistance of any amount. I would like to thank you in advance for your generosity.
1. I am raising funds for my grandson who suffered multiple injuries in an accident. He has undergone several procedures including dialysis.
2. The money will be used to fund my grandson’s medical expenses which has now gone to more than half a million pesos.
3. We need the funds as soon as possible as the hospital bill continues to rise.
4. My grandson is being raised by a single mother. The accident has severely depleted the family’s finances. In addition, because of the severity of the injuries that he suffered, he will continue to undergo various procedures. We are deeply worried about the condition of his kidney so we want to make sure that it is given proper medical attention.
5. My grandson is only 13 years old. He still has a lot of dreams to fulfill. He is a basketball varsity in his school. We hope to support all his financial needs so he can overcome this situation and go back to his normal life. We will be extremely grateful for the support that we will get.
