Our Rainbow Journey

Hi everyone my name is Cassandra and myself and my husband Jake are trying to find some help in our current journey.

For 7 years we suffered from infertility then after many failed treatment rounds we discovered we were pregnant in August 2023 with twins. In December I discovered having issues with my pregnancy due to an incompetent cervix and an infection.

Unfortunately on January 7th 2024 our beautiful twins Ellie and Aiden were born and taken from us

ontop of the pain and grief from loosing our children we are now faced with starting to try and conceive again, a journey which has now lead to IVF.

IVF is emotionally and financially draining and I am not currently working since loosing the twins.

we have been told that our first IVF round will cost around $11000

I have also been advised that I need to have surgery to remove my endometriosis and a further surgery to stitch up my cervix again.

I have the option of a very talented private surgeon doing my stitch in my next pregnancy which is something I would be very thankful for considering my experience the first time around. However that surgery will cost around $6000.

we are not the kind of people that ask for money. I have tried so many different ways to come up with these funds. We are also in the process of trying to access our super to help pay for treatment however this won’t pay for the surgery. It also won’t be accessed in time for us to start our first round. Yes we could wait and save the money but our doctors have advised for us to do this as soon as possible due to multiple medical reasonings as well as it being better for me physically while I’m not working. Not to mention we have already waited 8 years to bring another little life into our family.

we appreciate any donation, it means the absolute world to us. We have been encouraged to set up this page by multiple people in our lives. We know a lot of people won’t approve of us asking for money for this, but without asking for help we might never get our rainbow…
