Heart Surgery

Amanda has been struggling to breathe for months. After countless trips to the doctors and the hospital, she finally found out why. She has a 2.5cm hole in her heart. This causes severe shortness of breath, migraines, and fatigue which have affected her every day. She has demyelination on her brain which could be caused by the migraines or stroke activity. This has caused the other side of her heart to work overtime and become enlarged, putting her at risk of a heart attack or a stroke. There is the option of surgery. A device will be put in her heart and the heart will grow over it, closing up the hole. Without private health insurance, this procedure is very expensive. It will cost $30,000. Every dollar that people donate would be greatly appreciated towards paying for this surgery that will drastically improve Amanda's quality of life. She works as a kindergarten teacher and this surgery would give her the energy to run around with her beautiful kids again.
