Family, Friends, and the community of Idaho Falls, I am reaching out and asking for your generosity and any help for Yesenia Hernandez “Yesi.” I have known Yesi for many years and am married to her cousin. The help we receive from this campaign will be given directly to her family once the funds are released. It will be given to her mother, Maria Hernandez and her husband, Manuel Hernandez. Yesi, together with her family are owners of Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant located at 340 E Anderson St in Idaho Falls. They have served the community for 25 years. Yesi was practically raised in the Puerto Vallarta’s restaurants in Idaho Falls since age 7. The last 8 years Yesi has been a key component in the family business. Yesi has been very successful however, last year August 2019, she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 4 cancer. This changed everything in her family’s lives and with their business as well.
Yesi has 3 beautiful children ages 15, 13, and 11. She is the wife to Manuel Hernandez. Her parents are Maria Hernandez and Ramiro Ortega. Yesi is currently being treated in the University of Washington Hospital, it has been a struggle having to travel back and forth to Seattle to Idaho Falls. After Yesi was diagnosed with cancer, it did not stop her. She has been so strong and not wanting to worry her family and continuing life as she always did, regardless of how she was feeling. She worked up until she was not able to anymore. Things started getting harder for Yesi and her family right before Christmas. Yesi became very ill during Christmas time when she traveled back to Idaho Falls to spend Christmas with her husband and children, she quickly was admitted to the hospital in Idaho Falls and was put in a medically induced coma after countless hours of surgery. Yesi was eventually stable enough to be flown to the University of Washington Hospital where she was being treated for her cancer and has been medically induced for over 30 days now. There are no solid answers as to what is going to happen to her. The family waits patiently with hope for a miracle to happen.
Yesi’s family is going through a very difficult time. They always leaned on Yesi for everything involving family and business. This fundraiser is created to help Yesi and her family pay for any medical bills that they may have. Also to help support their everyday expenses as they get through this difficult time.
Yesenia is a person who would never ask for help, she is a hard worker and determined. She has goals to continue to grow their family business. She didn’t ever want anyone to know she was suffering, even through her chemo, she didn’t work as much, but always showed up and told everyone she was okay. She had a positive attitude through it all.

Yesi, junto con su familia son dueños del restaurante Puerto Vallarta ubicado en 340 E Anderson St en Idaho Falls. Han servido a la comunidad durante 25 años. Yesi tiene 3 hermosos niños de 15, 13 y 11 años. Es la esposa de Manuel Hernández. Sus padres son María Hernández y Ramiro Ortega. Yesi está recibiendo tratamiento en el hospital de la Universidad de Washington ha sido una lucha tener que viajar de ida y vuelta entre Seattle y Idaho Falls. Desde su diagnóstico, Yesi ha sido tan fuerte y no a querido preocupar a su familia y a continuado la vida como siempre lo hizo, a pesar de cómo se sintiera. Trabajó hasta que ya no pudo. Las cosas empezaron a ser más difíciles para Yesi y su familia justo antes de Navidad. Yesenia se enfermó mucho durante la época navideña cuando viajó de regreso a Idaho Falls para pasar la Navidad con su esposo e hijos, rápidamente fue ingresada en el hospital de Idaho Falls y fue puesta en coma inducido después de horas de cirugía. Yesi fue finalmente lo suficientemente estable como para ser volada a el hospital de la Universidad de Washington, donde estába recibiendo su tratamiento por su cancer. Ella ha estado en coma inducido por más de 30 días. No hay respuestas sólidas de los doctores en cuanto a lo que le va a pasar. La familia espera pacientemente con esperanza para que ocurra un milagro.
