The Programme

Yemen has been ravaged by years of conflict and extreme poverty. Yemen's humanitarian crisis has been designated as the world's worst by the United Nations. More than 12 million children are in danger from war, disease and hunger, with orphans and widows rampant in number and amongst the most vulnerable members of society.

The orphan development programme aims to implement an integrated plan of action to ensure that the orphans of Yemen are holistically cared for whilst developing fundamental skills needed for a better future. To achieve this, the programme will focus on four aspects; health and wellbeing, religious development, educational development, and skills development.

- Quran memorisation with a qualified teacher

- Each child gets educated in private schools

- Extra educational support

- Support accommodation cost

- Monthly trips

- Food support

- Upskilling carers
