Help save Oliver

Hi folks.  Meet Oliver, one of my friend Andrea's 2 fur babies.  Oliver is just 4 years old and full of energy.  A few weeks ago, sweet Oliver started limping so Andrea immediately brought him to the vet where she was told it was just a muscle strain.  Unfortunately, the limp became worse so she brought him back to the vet.  After another visit, an xray and a visit to a vet oncologist, the news was much worse than it being just a strain. 

In order to save his life, Oliver's leg will need to be amputated.  There is also a possibility that he will need chemo after the amputation.  The surgery was scheduled quickly and will occur on Tuesday, August 28.  

Between the surgery, xrays, blood work and tests, the total cost will be about $6000, not including the cost for chemo if it's needed.  As you can imagine, Andrea is heartbroken that her fur baby has to go through this but is confident in the vet who is sure this is the only way to guarantee a long happy life for Oliver.  Oliver's sister Minew, is already in big sister mode and has been comforting him as his limp gets worse. 

As many of you know, I'm the crazy cat lady and I would do anything for my fur babies.  The least I can do is help out a dear friend and her baby. My heart breaks for what Andrea and Oliver are going through but know that Oliver will come out of this cancer free and feeling 100% better.
