An AMAYSING Journey

Last month Marcia’s aMaysing journey came to a close, but the journey her family is on continues. Jeff, Emily, and Ali will continue to honor the memory of Marcia by remaining steadfast in their faith as well as living life to the fullest by creating new memories every day!
Marcia spent over 25 years in the service of others as a High School Special Education instructor. Fellow instructors, administrators, and students all described Marcia as a patient and generous educator who always took the time to assist those who needed it most. Comments such as "I wouldn't have graduated without Mrs. Mays" or "I'm still a teacher because of her" have been common to hear in the past weeks.
Her generosity persevered beyond her professional life. At home, the Mays' continually opened their home to friends and neighbors in hopes to foster a sense of family for all who arrived on their doorstep. No one was turned away, no one went home hungry, and hopefully everyone who had the chance to share a fire-lit evening in their driveway, knew what it was to be wholly accepted by others.
It is our hope that we might return this favor by giving back to their family as they start on this new path. Gifts will assist with memorial service costs, medical bills, and help to provide a solid foundation for Emily and Ali’s future.
