Hello Family and Friends,
As many of you know our family lost our home to the fires in Gatlinburg on November 28th. This home was built by my grandparents and my dad. My brother and his fiance had been living in the apartment on the property with their dogs and a cat.
My parents had just moved from PA and were happy to be around family once again. They were renovating the house so that they could move in and we were all so excited to see the house come back to life and we were looking foward to having many family memories at the home.
At this time everyone is safe and we are all working on figuring out the next steps. We are so happy to have had so many family and friends reach out with prayers and support. Many people have asked how they can help. We have started this GoFundMe page as a way for people to help if they are able. This money will be used to help my family get back on their feet and get a roof over their head. At this time they need a place to live and basic necessities.
There are also so many other things you can do. Many local hotels are taking donations of water since the drinking water may now be tainted. Donations of things like food, water, shampoo and clothes can also be taken at Leconte Center or Rocky Top. I know the Sevier County Humane Society is also in distress and asking for donations at www.sevierhumane.org
You may only be able to put a drop in the bucket, but buckets are filled with drops.
