Potato's Emergency Surgery!

Hello! My name is Raya. My sweet girl Potato was not acting like herself yesterday. We brought her to the vet, but later that night in spite of an anti-nausea and pain medication she still vomited the tiny treat we managed to get her to eat and was trembling and in pain, so we ran her to the emergency vet. They finally admitted her around 2am, and we just got the call this morning that she's going to need an emergency surgery to remove a blockage they found in the intestines.

We are so relieved that she's on pain meds right now and that her prognosis is good so far. But the quoted estimate for her visit and surgery is around $10,000. UPDATE: the surgery was successful and she is at home recovering! ❤️‍ The estimate included an Intestinal Resection/Anastomosis that they ended up not needing to perform, which knocked about $3,000 dollars off the surgery. The total for her visit was just over $7,000. The fundraiser goal has been adjusted to reflect the new amount. Thank you for your support!
