I'm happy to share that out of 5000+ applicants, with less than a 1% acceptance rate, I was one of the 25 students admitted into MissionU this year! My life up to this point has been the epitome of a musical crescendo. From learning how to become massively resourceful during my time as a homeless college athlete to being individually mentored on meditation and humility, the inclination to further my education has yet to cease. Whether it be financial gifts, randomly checking up on friends, or providing inspiration through my words, I’ve always naturally gravitated toward investing into people however I’m able to.
Attending MissionU will grant me the proper tools, resources, and guidance that I’ve passionately searched for to not only increase my personal value as I transition into the workforce but simultaneously allow me to further my passion for helping and inspiring others in the future.
In the past, I’ve been very minimalistic with my living conditions, which allowed me to continue adventuring in search of opportunities to grow. Though now that I am attending MissionU, I’m aware that my academic success is partially based off of the conditions I am able to live, rest and study in. My goal is to save up 3 months of expenses (just in case I cannot find a job immediately, it takes me a moment to get acclimated to school, etc.). With that being said, I 100% believe in being transparent with this campaign. Below I decided to really map out what your contributions will be going towards.
Laptop - $1150
School Fees - $250
Flight to Indianapolis - $100
Flight to California - $200
Rent - $3,200
(-3 months Average cost of rent $800, 1 security deposit)
Food - $600 ($50 a week for 3 months)
Other - $300 (air mattress, public transportation, unexpected occurrences)
After graduating from MissionU my goal is to find an opportunity that allows me to continue creatively inspiring others through my life experiences and acquired skills. (Maybe TED or Spotify!?) Who knows! But I've got to tackle the task of MissionU first!
