RAISE THE ROOF
SOT-Uganda was founded in 2005 by Julius Musenero as an independednt, church-based non-profit.
The main focus is the care of AIDS/HIV orphans and orphans in general. The mission is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of orphans and widows.
SOT -Uganda offers the support and community these orphans need to avoid such dangers as child-trafficking and prostitution.
Julius and his orginization support 30 widow-headed families with food staples and also care for 150 children. Most of these children live in foster homes. The orphanage will house 35 children when completed.
SOT -Uganda also organizes medical outreach to remote villages.
The orphanage is being built on land paid for by previous drives including major support from Adam and Christopher Lacata. Initial construction was paid for through fund-drives headed by Lorin Hart in the US, and Michel in Australia.
Our immediate goal is $2,000, which will buy the rest of the needed roofing materials. Anything raised beyond that will go to installing doors and windows. Long term-plans include the purchase of land for farming.
