After a recent break up, I left a bird of prey place. I had a few birds that were mine there which I now have.
Yabba seemed unwell when I got him to his new home with me. Off his food which immediately rang alarm bells.
questioned whether it was change of scenery but that didn’t seem right to me. I kept a close eye on him, took him to the vets and they said he was fine. I knew there was something not right with him so I took him for a second opinion at Toll Barn vets who were absolutely amazing & fit me in with Dr. Faye.
Yabba appears to have Aspergillosis & a bacterial respiratory infection which he is currently being treated for with antibiotics, antifungal oral medicine & is being syringe fed food as he’s not eating his usual food.
However, after this treatment for the respiratory problems he will be having further tests to just rule anything else out.
being a stay at home mum of two funds are tight & I don’t usually ask for help but to do these tests for Yabba I’m having to borrow money in order to get him treated & tested afterwards all being well.
I would really appreciate any donations towards his vet bills. I’m more than happy to upload pictures of the invoices. The treatment I got for him yesterday was £86.17. But the tests will cost more. I’ve based my goal on an estimation for testing given by the first vet I went to which was £433.41
If donations exceed the vets bills they will be kept to one side in a savings account if any more vet trips are needed for my birds
Cesar, Yabba & Peeka
Eurasian eagle owl, Kookaburra & Boobook owl.
will upload Yabbas condition daily To my Facebook
& keep everyone updated with the others also.
My birds are everything to me so let’s hope Yabba has a speedy recovery.
