Support the horses of Brandy Manor

On 18 September 2017 Hurricane Maria brought immense destruction and devastation to the Commonwealth of Dominica, wreaking havoc everywhere on the island in a matter of hours. No-one was spared the wrath of this category 5 monster and Brandy Manor Riding Center was no exception, suffering both wind damage and flooding. I have set-up this fundraising page from the UK to support my mother, Yasmin Cole and her partner Linton Moses (of St Lucia), with the initial rebuild and gathering of necessary supplies following Maria’s destruction.

Anyone who knows Yasmin, Linton and the horses will know the toll which Tropical Storm Erika had on them when it hit in 2015. The horses had only just regained condition and now they are starting to lose weight again. Whilst the 8 horses at Brandy Manor have not sustained any injuries during the hurricane, their feed supply has been water damaged and it is only a matter of time before it starts to go moldy. The grass has to be cut and loaded onto the truck by hand (there is no luxury as bales of hay in Dominica), and two of the swipers used that were in the shop for repair have been washed away!
The funds raised will go towards shipping feed over to the island, obtaining a new strimmer/swiper to cut grass for the horses, and other purchases necessary to replace essential items taken by the flood water (such as wheel barrows, spades, medical supplies).
