Help Noah Fight Cancer

Donación protegida
Noah Reeb is the second oldest of three. He is nine and a half years old and this past week his parents received the earth-shattering news that their kind, football-loving son has brain cancer.

Noah has been experiencing migraine headaches for the last several weeks. He has undergone multiple MRI’s ordered by his pediatric neurologist who found a mass in the center of his brain.

Noah was quickly scheduled for diagnostic surgery to determine the exact type of fast-growing tumor he has.  He was taken for his first round of surgery today. What is known at this point is it that the surgeon inserted a needle through the top of his head and down into a passive part of the brain. They were able to drain fluid that the tumor is blocking to the surface of the brain to relieve the pressure in the inner chambers.

The doctors extracted Cerebrospinal Fluid (fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord) that will be sent to labs to assist in identifying markers.  Once they know exactly what type of cancer Noah has, they will be able to determine if and when to schedule a craniotomy.  We are all hoping such a serious operation can be avoided. Either way Noah will have to go through chemo and radiation.

Although they are grateful for medical treatments developed for little children, it is so difficult for Noah’s parents to see their son go through the necessary spinal taps and the extremely painful trauma of the post-surgery monitoring of his brain when Noah couldn’t be sedated.

So, for now, James and Jacque are living every parent’s nightmare; to have their child go through what they wish they could endure for themselves.

Many have reached out to see how to help, and so this page has been created to provide a means to “bear one another's burdens.”  Please donate what you can, a little can go a long way.  This whirlwind of heartbreak, and fear of the uncertain can be crippling, but Noah’s family is showing strength as they fight with faith for this sweet little boy. Despite his pain and the uncertainty, Noah has been in good spirits.  Through tears, he asked his mom if all of this would ruin his playing in the NFL one day.

Updates will be made to this page to communicate with all. Your prayers and words of kindness and support are appreciated and are deeply needed! Please continue to send them!
