Help Rebuild Tonga

Hi, my name is Alisa, my husband Jeff (Sefeti, Tongan name) is from the small island of Tonga.

Though my husband and I live in Sydney, his mum, sister, brother, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews live in the small village of Kanokupolu which has been wiped out by the recent tsunami. Due to the cut off in communication we are still anxiously waiting to hear any news about his family. It has now been 5 days since the tsunami hit and we are still not sure of their safety.

When communication does reopen we want to be ready to help support the Tongan people.

Jeff is one of those individuals who is always willing to offer a hand to help a friend or the community, he gives his time and is always caring for others. He would like to help rebuild his village in Tonga and we are reaching out to the wider community to help support the efforts.

We are setting up this GoFundMe page with the hope of raising funds to help his community and the many thousands of people effected by the recent disaster.

We appreciate any amount that you can give. A little bit can go a long way.

We hope to be able to give directly to the communities as well as send a shipment with goods that the people may need.
