Hi my name is Katie Barr, and I am doing this fundraiser for my close family friends Laura and Blair Baker, who lost everything in a house fire this morning (Thursday).

They are the kindest, sweetest people I know, who would do anything for anyone.

As our close family and friends know, Cody (my boyfriend) and I also lived on the property. The biggest effect this had on us was loosing electricity and water. Throughout this whole struggle, we have been at Laura and Blair’s side trying to get through it together. Cody and I are keeping an eye on the property while Laura and Blair get some things organized.

Any money raised will be going toward replacing food, clothing, toiletries gas for vehicle, generator, clean up, etc

Added expense have been travel costs, propane, gas and water. A larger expense is setting hydro back up, which we’ve been quoted 2500$ by an electrician.

We will also need funds to get a bin in for clean up. We will need to cover the costs to pump out the well, and get the water tested, and see how the septic is for connection, to a future building.

As things move forward, we are making arrangements to build something for Laura and Blair on the property. Moving forward, after immediate expenses, any money raised will go toward permits, tools, building materials etc.

Laura and Blair will be back home soon, and once back, will have a better idea of what they need. We will keep everything updated.

Hydro has been in and connected power, so hopefully no more generators!
