Being able to volunteer in the State Parks has been so fulfilling for us.This is our vocation and our passion, and we are good at our jobs. We've seen such beauty and met such amazing people, as we have worked in Parks in Mendocino, Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara counties.
But we cannot continue doing it with this RV. It has been pulled through winding mountain roads and backed into tight spaces too many times. Every re-location tweaks it more, and the current rainy season has led to the discovery of numerous leaks. There are just too many problems - big and small - for us to deal with. Trade-in is not an option, and we cannot afford payments on another trailer. We are looking into donating this one, possibly to the Santa Cruz Homeless Coalition.
It is the hardest thing to admit you need help, and harder still to ask for it, but we are humbly asking your assistance in keeping a roof over our heads.
We are100% dependent on our social security incomes, and every minor problem turns into a major catastrophe, and our families have been so generous. But we have to seek additional funds. Any amount will be greatly appreciated, and PLEASE SHARE THIS POST. Maybe someone knows someone who needs a trailer, or someone who has a trailer to sell. This one is a 36' Fleetwood with 4 slides. We need something in the 20 -25' range with a toilet , a bed, a sink, and room for Willie Nelson and Luna. We both need dental work , so any extra would go towards some extractions.
