Reed Family Fire Fund

Due to the CZU Lightning complex fires, the Reed family was evacuated from their home just outside of Big Basin State Park on Tuesday, August 18th.  By midday the next day they learned that their home was gone.  With the main priority being the safety of their children, Tyler and Katy had evacuated quickly and only packed the bare minimum, so they quite literally have no more than the clothes/items they left with. Fortunately, they evacuated in the van with their pop-up camper in tow, so they have immediate temporary housing.  While Tyler and Katy are sorting out a plan for next steps and long term housing, our family would like to help provide the essentials they need to care for the Reed kiddos: Ransom (8), Daisy (6), Lexie (4) and Winnie (2).  

Another stressful aspect of losing their home and all of their belongings, is the loss of work for Tyler.  Their home was at Camp Hammer (Tylers' work), which has since burned as well.  The funds from this campaign will provide relief for the Reed family during this painful and uncertain time.  

If you've ever been in the Reed's home, you know about their open door policy.  They have always welcomed everyone and anyone into their family, having weekly "framily" dinners and game nights.  Losing their home is more significant than just the loss of material belongings - it is the loss of how the Reed's create community.  We would like to return the love and support their family has always given to the world during this time of need.
