Katie to Cambridge! (Missions)

My name is Katelyn "Katie " Carlile and I am a born and raised Alaskan! I've always wanted to travel, so when I realized I would be taking a year off from college, I knew that traveling was exactly what I wanted to do. Except traveling is not my main priority in life, God is! I decided that if I was going to spend my time traveling, I wanted to spend it doing a missions trip and getting closer to God.
I found out about Youth With A Mission (YWAM) through some friends and within a couple weeks I had applied to attend a Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Cambridge, England. The school is 9 months long and will be running from September 2015 to June 2016. The DTS incorporates a missions school along with community outreach and a couple months of outreach in another country.
I am excited to commit myself to getting closer to God and learning more about the plan God has for my life. I am excited to discover how he wants to use me to help others and to meet, love, and serve the people that God has created in differnet parts of the world.  In total, I need $10,000 for the DTS, which includes the actual school portion, travel/flights, vaccinations, food, and housing accommodations.
