Help us stay in our home

Hello and thank you for stopping by.  I am here trying to raise enough to make the last of back rent which is just one of countless things past due for us right now.  August last year my girlfriend became sick and I started working a new contract.  Unfortunately for us the agency I was working for decided it didn’t need to pay me.  I kept working there just to build up unemployment while looking for a new job.   In the interim with me not being paid, medical, and living expenses we were chewing through savings and eventually living almost exclusively on my credit cards.  Then in December the agency laid off it’s contractors at the host company I was working at and then disappeared.   EDD is still working on getting everything stright, however being a state agency and understaffed/funded themselves.  They don't have a time frame for being able to tell us what kind of compensation we can expect.  Then in late December my girlfriend needed a surgical hysterectomy.  All the while the bills are still piling up.

 
Cut to this week where I finally have a start date for a new job, my girlfriend can start fielding e-mails to get more clients.  However, at this point we are woefully behind on literally everything.  Chief right now is rent, we need 2500.00 in the next week to not become homeless.  If we can at least get that taken care of, I’m certain we can bounce back from this.  Our problem is my new job won’t pay me but a few days this month, then a full paycheck won’t show up until the 5th of next month and that puts us well beyond what the manager here is willing to do.  Any help is appreciated and know that if this situation were not dire I would not be asking for help in this manner.  Thank you very much.
