XVII Carvings -Pendleton Shoot

Hello friends and supporters of XVII Carvings. You all have been so generous in helping us, and we could not have made this film a reality without you. Thus far, we have filmed all XVII of the Gold Star Families, 25 different Marines and traveled to 36 states. Now, we're asking for your help one more time. - On June 13th, we're going to be out at Camp Pendleton. Anthony, 20 members of the Gold Star Families, and about 20 Marines are going to carry a chainsaw carving of the Battlefield Cross to the top of 1st Sgt.'s Hill at Camp Pendleton. While up there, we'll reflect and mediate on the men that were lost on the deployment. After that , we are going to hike down the hill and have a ceremony at the memorial gardens on base. There, we will give that carving to the unit to keep at their HQ in honor of the 17 men that perished in the 2011 Sangin deployment. - To be able to do this shoot, we need your help! We've been coordinating with the DoD and the Marine Corps for over 3 months to make this happen. It is a big undertaking, and we're hoping to raise around $10,000 to cover out over $13,000 in expected production expenses. Check out our video, and let us know if you have any questions.
