In early August, Kurt was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Generally this leukemia is treatable and has a good prognosis for remission.
However, the treatment is often very lengthy and follows a very aggressive schedule of chemotherapy. There is also the possibility that Kurt will be eligible to receive a trial drug during his treatment.
