Helping Hand

On Monday October 30, 2017 I was out grocery shopping with my daughter. I received a call from my mother stating that our apartment was on fire. I experienced total panic and shock. I dropped everything and drove home imidiately. When I got home I saw firefighters, broken windows, a lot of smoke, and ambulance trucks everywhere. It was very painful for my family and I to watch everything we've worked so hard for disappear in a matter of seconds. It was also heart breaking to watch my daughter cry about losing the only home she's known. According to the fire department, the fire originally started in our kitchen and eventually spread out throughout the entire apartment. We lost everything but I was still able to grab a few clothes for my daughter and myself. The rest of our household items such as beds, couches, dining room set, refrigerator, groceries and other belongings were destroyed. We are currently looking to relocate to a new apartment where we can start a new chapter in our lives. Without a doubt this has been an unexpected life changing tragedy. I will be seeking some financial help to recuperate some of the lost household items.
