Save the Honeybees!

Honeybees are the heroes of our ecosystem, but they are disappearing! We're on a mission to grow our successful honeybee colony and teach our community to care for these vital pollinators.

We recently divided the colonies in our apiary, and we could see our population grow to 200,000 honeybees this summer! That means more pollinators for food-producing gardens, and more opportunities to educate students about beekeeping. 

Please help us buy the equipment we need to maintain happy, healthy hives and expand our FREE beekeeping classes:

About us: The Piedmont Learning Center brings together business leaders and students of all ages to achieve personal success, enrich our community, and appreciate the natural environment. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving the Baltimore, MD area. Located on the edge of the beautiful 64-acre Gwynn Oak Park, the Piedmont Learning Center features an apiary, rain garden, herb garden, and butterfly garden.
