On behalf of Jerson "Jonie" Alejon, it is with great pleasure to announce the good news we received today. We finally heard from the hospital confirming the approval of Jonie's application for catastrophic settlement on his medical bills. Fortunately, we have raised enough fund to cover it & some left for post-doctor check-ups. That being said, we will now close this account as we already reached our goal.
Again and again, we are very grateful beyond words to each and every one of you for all the prayers, encouraging words, & generosity. Just know that, Jonie appreciates all of you and the things you have had done for him the past couple of weeks. It means a lot to him. How marvelous and inspiring it is to have such kind-hearted people around! From the deepest part of our hearts, Thank You Very Much, Maraming Maraming Salamat, Xie Xie! Hello dear friends,
Some point in our lives, unexpected things do happen, unfortunately, something just that happened to our dear friend, Jerson Magallanes aka Jonie Alejon. Yesterday afternoon, he experienced an excruciating pain on his lower right abdomen, he thought at first it was just a common stomach upset so he endured the pain for several hours until he could no longer bear anymore the pain associated with chills and a low-grade fever, so his sister Merlie Gapp rushed him to the emergency room @ Rowan Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. There, the doctor found out that he had an appendecitis that may rupture any moment so it needed to be taken out immediately. The doctor who attended him, advised to do the surgery right away. But, Jonie having no health insurance was very hesitant and worried about the medical expenses but at that very moment it was a matter of life and death so he went through with it to keep his life. Now, our dear family and friends, Jonie is out of danger and doing a lot better but left with huge amount of medical bills. That being said, we are knocking on your kind hearts to please let us all come together to help him in anyway we can to ease the financial burden that the recent event has caused to Jonie's finances. We appreciate any amount you can give to help him out pay his medical bills and post-surgery doctor appointments expenses.
