Help students hold a march and rally in support of ending school violence.
Desired date of Event: 3/24/2018
Place: Heritage Square, Downtown Waco, Texas
After the school shooting in Florida, my 16 year old daughter Casie and some of her friends wanted to hold a rally to support the students in Florida and to raise awareness in our area that our own schools are not immune to violence and preemptive steps should be taken in our schools.
The required permitting is $2000. Any additional proceeds will be used for T-shirts, signage supplies and incidentals which may come up (such as clean up supplies, table rentals, water etc).
A dedicated bank account will be established for this event and a full accounting of expenditures will be publically posted on our Facebook group forum (link is below). If we reach our donation goal, we will stop collecting as soon as we notice.
