Tanya’s Urgent need to cover out of pocket medical bills

Dearest friends and family, I’m coming to you to see if you could lend help in anyway possible. As you may have heard, for the past 8 days I’ve been in the ICU in a private International hospital in Da Nang Vietnam, literally fighting for my life. So far I’ve had 2 surgeries and about to undergo my last one today before boarding a plane in the morning straight from the hospital. One surgery was to install a catheter from my kidney to my bladder since there is a 18x6mm kidney stone lodged up high. This caused several life threatening infections. My kidney infection became septic and invaded it’s way through my bloodstream. The medical team have fought tirelessly to keep me alive up against some serious obstacles. The second surgery was to insert a port into the right side of my neck running down into my chest. The kidney stone caused a bacterial infection in my blood that they’ve had a hard time fighting even with a mixture of heavy antibiotics. I’ve experienced daily seriously high fevers of 104 and above causing seizures that will last anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. I’ve had 2 nurses assigned to me at all times and the care and compassion of each has gone beyond their paycheck. Since nothing is working to move that monster stone low enough for surgery here, the Chief of Staff, my personal doctor, Dr. Tri said they need to get me back home with haste. The team has begun to prep me for flight doing things such as blood thinner shots, to assure I don’t get blood clots, and liquid IV Nexium for my nausea. I’ll be on an arsenal of other medications for pain, fevers, the fluid around my heart etc., and every precaution will be followed. Everyone who has been by my side is scared about my leaving on such a long journey at this time. But they know I’ve exhausted every penny paying these bills every few days in cash/debit as Vietnam requires. True! It’s not as expensive as it would be in the States but this is a private International hospital so the fees are still adding up to about 50% or more of what it would be at home. I will require 2 more surgeries very soon once my infections are under control. They say I can’t have the Lithotripsy surgery until the infections in the surrounding tissues are fully healed, but there is also a strict deadline for this secondary erethra catheter to be removed and that is by June.

Obviously, I have no insurance traveling abroad and they do not reimburse back in the States. Richard has offered to step in and take care of this, however I feel since we are not married I cannot let him do that. I’m a Christian woman who wants to make sure our relationship is build on a foundation of love, and trust, Not his money! He shouldn’t be made to feel it’s all up to him simply because he’s the man. He’s doing so much already to keep me calm, positive, and trying against odds to g I feel as though I’d lose respect within myself, and it would tarnish our relationship by giving people the idea he was with a money grabbing woman. Over time it would begin to erode our special relationship. This has been extremely hard for me to ask for help as I’ve never asked or borrowed a dime from anyone. But by starting this GO FUND ME, I won’t have to rely on him to pay All these enormous hospital bills that must be paid before they let me leave Vietnam in the early morning tomorrow. The law is they will detain you from leaving the country until every penny is paid in full. So ANYTHING anyone can contribute will be a huge help, no matter how big or small. And Please keep praying. As of now the plan is get me on a flight tomorrow back to Florida. Once there I will go straight from the airport into the hospital in St, Pete.
