Help Support a Teacher
Hello everyone,
Thank you for looking. My name is Jake Jenrich. I am a teacher at Santa Lucia School in Chicago. Santa Lucia is a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, elementary school. A place where all children are welcome. This is my 7th year at St Lucy's. Needless to say, I love the school, but most of all, I love the kids.
St Lucy's is a small school. We've fallen on hard times, but with help, we keep moving along. We work differently, as we have a great education program. Our students are bright, and well versed. We teach the old way of doing things, so our kids don't need calculators to do a math problem. I would like to continue this method of teaching, and bring us to the next level, but I need help. St Lucy's is not a financially rich school. For instance, we don't have the funds needed to provide smartboards to our classrooms. The use of the smartboard will enhance the interactive teaching experience in my classroom, thereby enriching the lessons, and helping the students better relate to the lesson plan not only on a classroom level, but individually.
Here's where you come in. With your help I can provide a smartboard for my classroom and take education to a whole new level! I've discussed this with my class, and they are as excited to learn how to use a smartboard, as I am to teach with a smartboard. Won't you help by making a tax deductible donation to provide a better learning environment for these children? They are our future. They will change the world.
Thank you!
