MOOSE NEEDS OUR HELP

Donation protected
There are many Go Fund Me pages out there and so many tragic stories that occur every single day. This platform was made to help those in dire need, and if there is anyone out there who not only needs but deserves our help, it is Mike "Moose" Schmorrow.

In November, Moose started to have some swelling in his leg and over the course of just a few days, that swelling grew to be larger and larger. He decided to get himself checked out, and from that point on, Moose and his family's lives changed forever.

At the age of 29, with a 6-year-old son, fiance, and baby boy number 2 on the way, Moose was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of B- Cell Lymphoma that most doctors honestly had never seen before. Getting to this diagnosis was not easy - Moose was originally diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, and his team felt very optimistic that he would come out this on top and had a fighting chance of survival. From there, it has been a long yet very short 3.5 months of unanswered questions, new diagnoses', hospital stays, and multiple different treatment plans. All this back and forth came to a halt in the beginning of February when Moose got his final diagnosis and was told he did not have more than 1-2 months left to live. Moose decided to keep fighting and started an extremely intense 3-day ICE chemo treatment where his body faced some of the hardest days one could ever see. Making it through that treatment like the warrior he is, he was ready to keep fighting. Moose has never given up this entire time. When all odds have been against him he has continued to simply say "they don't know who I am".

On February 11th, after being admitted to the hospital for increased abdominal pain and to start his 2nd round of the ICE chemo treatment, a CT scan showed not much improvement at all. The doctors agreed that it would not be helpful to continue to put his body through the 2nd round of treatment, and together Moose and his medical team decided to not go forward with the second round. However, he did not stop there, he tried another hail mary drug, reached out to multiple different experimental trials, and has continued every day to have a positive attitude and enjoy the moments he has left with his family.

Moose and his family; wife Jen, 6-year-old- son Mikey, and almost 3 month old baby boy Axel have endured the battle of a lifetime and with not much time left have decided to spend what moments there are remaining together including an imtimate wedding ceremony where Jen will be able to walk down the aisle and they will say I DO in their family church.

This story is one I never wished I would have to tell about anybody in my life but especially this one. Since the day I met Moose he has done nothing but pour positivity to anyone he has encountered in life. He is the funniest, most genuine person I have ever met, and I consider myself lucky to have had him by my side for all these years.

Please consider helping Moose and his family. Our hope is with this fund, we will be able to provide support for Jen, Mikey, & Axel for the days, months, and years to come. At 29, none of us plan for something so tragic to occur in our lives, and although it will not fix the situation, it can help with Mikey & Axel's future which is all Mike is worried about. In addition, Moose has requested that 20% of the proceeds made from this page be donated to the National Institute of Health in Maryland to continue working towards a cure for cancer.
