Help Build a Sustainable Teaching Farm

About Us

Birthed from a combination of family-love and skill, beekeeping first began with my Grandfather in Michoacan, Mexico. He tended and cared for the bees on his farm while my Grandmother sold beeswax at the local mercado. He later passed down his skillset to my father who cared for his own bees on our family-farm in Merced, California.

The craft was later passed on to me. As my father was diagnosed with cancer, he could no longer tend to the hives himself.

Thus, Happy Organics was born- now offering a variety of honey products that are sweet, sustainable, and sure to make you smile. Our story continues as we share the craft of beekeeping with future generations and strive to increase sustainability and educate our community on the importance of bees.

Our Farm

Happy Organics, our family farm, rests in the heart of the Central Valley of California. Here, on our ten-acre farm, we house thirty-four beehives that collect pollen and nectar from our gardens. Our property grows lavender, rosemary, wildflowers, borage, sunflowers, citrus, pomegranate trees and fig trees. We harvest our honey twice a year when our bees produce an excess amount of honey. The health of our bees is our priority and we make sure we do not take more than we need.

No pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals are used on our property. We are not certified organic as our bees can venture off about 2-3 miles from their hive and collect nectar and pollen from other sources.

As our farm grows and our hive population increases, we implement principles of regenerative farming. Our mission is wellness, sustainability, and community.

We hope to always be making improvements that will connect our community to our gardens.
