Taking my Tom to the Mayo Clinic
Donation protected
About eight years ago my Tom was diagnosed with neurosarcoidosis when his ability to feel his legs began to disappear. A lesion has grown on his spine that eventually robbed him of his ability to use his legs at all. His neuro doctor in Nashville has done as much as he can to give Tom some of his mobility back but without success to this point.
Dr Pawata has referred my Tom to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota as a kind of last chance to treat Tom's condition to possibly help him get at least some use back in his legs.
Tom's dream is to be able to walk by my side hand in hand and I am hoping to give him every opportunity to walk again.
Appointments have been scheduled for the end of May. I'm doing what I can to sell some things to raise some money to make sure Tom gets this opportunity. I certainly appreciate any help or advice that can help us get my Tom to Minnesota.
